Bali Batik Reversible Top
Batik is an ancient art form in which artisans apply wax to fabric in intricate lines and dots before dyeing the material, resulting in a distinctive patterned effect. Originating from Indonesia, this technique has since proliferated throughout Southeast Asia. The Batik sarong is worn by Indonesians at ceremonies.
A hallmark design from the 1960s and 1970s, I aimed to reinterpret it using a variety of fabric patterns, including an exquisite Balinese pattern design and luxurious orange velvet. This reversible tie top offers versatile styling options, allowing it to be worn two ways.
Among all the tie vests available, this design stands out as my favourite choice. Its versatility allows it to be elegantly styled for evening events or dressed down for a more casual daytime look.
The adjustable ties on the top accommodate a comfortable fit for various sizes.

Model is 5ft 7.5 inches. A size 8 with a 34C bust and 27 inch waist.
The garment is precisely measured at the chest and waist when the ties are fully drawn. These ties can be adjusted to accommodate a bigger fit.
